“Never Knows Best”

An indicator of me being broody is always this quote. I’ll switch the wallpaper of my phone to the wrinkled cigarette and update my Facebook status to it. But today, it has become known to me its true purpose.

I, without fail, make the mistake of trying to cut my own bangs.

Each time it always ends in handful sobs in the shower,
Trying to run my fingers through the length of hair that’s no longer there.

And I’ve been well aware of this for years. And I was fully conscious of this as I scissored off two-or-so inches of bangs from my bangs. (That sentence just happened, folks.)

But there was a reason that is still unacceptable for my stupidity, but it had a glimmer of validity! Raich explained to me her hair stylist’s method to cut bangs simply and effectively. All you do is twist the section of hair and chop at the decided point. She had tried it on herself, which convinced me that not even I could jack this up.

Well, right now it looks rigid. I thought my waves would reset so the undulations would retain their proportions to the length of hair, but of course that’s ridiculous. I still’ve faith that after I wash and dry my hair it’ll work. However, I’ll wait until tomorrow because I’m swimming in the morning and to wash these snakes in such close succession is really just not efficient. So, I shall be smelly for a little longer. My gawd, I’m a hippie!
